In his first movie Jai Play an role (i.e) brother of one of the leading kollywood actors Vijay. The movie Bhagavathy was one of the block buster movies of Tamilcinema. After the release of that movie, Jai was talk like he is the perfect man to do the role of Vijay's brother role because the appearance of Jai resembles with vijay. In that movie, the pair of Tamil actor Jai was Monica who had done sexiest role in the Tamil movie Silandhi.

After that debut movie of  Jai he was working in the Sri kanth deva's team for 7 years and learnt keyboard and other basic music. After a very long break, Tamil actor Jai came back to Tamil cinema as one of the heroes in Tamil movie Chennai 600028. The Tamilmovie Chennai 600028 songs were super hit in the Tamil cinema industry.
